HOW TO PLAY THE INTERACTIVE ROLE-PLAYING THEATRE

The adventures are set in an alternative 18th Century Folklore Grimm World. You will encounter magic, fae, the living dead, dark forests, dungeons, strange castles and many other wonderful places.

The online adventure is about One hour-long, really fun and interactive.

It's a great place for people to start if you are new the world of Interactive Role-Playing Theatre. All you need is Zoom, a webcam, costume (at least the top half) and a microphone. A virtual background is wonderful if you can get it working.

You will have lots of chances to Role-play and interact with each other and the characters you will meet, along your journey.

You can play a Wizard, Witch, Red-Cap, Huntsman, Pirate, Gentleman, Prince, Monk or something of your own design.

We ask those who are attending to dress up for the show. It will make them feel more involved and part of the world.

Once you have joined our Facebook Group, you will know what is happeing with the events. Once you select and buy your ticket, an email will send you the link and reminder before the day.

Please DM me a character name, class and background, via Facebook.

I will send you back some personal plot for you to use in the game.

PLEASE NOTE: We do seperate sessions for kids to play along with their parents.

What is the World?

The adventures are set in an alternative 18th Century Folklore Grimm World. You will encounter magic, fae, the living dead, dark forests, dungeons, strange castles and many other wonderful places.

How do adventures work?

Your Storymaster will guide, and help everyone get involved who wants to through the quest. You should have a character arranged beforehand with details you have sent to the Storymaster, who can help weave into the narrative.
You can if you wish, drop into the ongoing campaign, but you will get a much more rewarding experience by coming more often.

There is a wonderful ongoing community of players on the Facebook group.
The show will contain, creature masked actors, scenery, filmed locations, puppets, smoke, narrated soundscapes and props. It’s really unique fun!

What age is it suitable for?

This is suitable for all ages. We have sessions for 13 years to adult and separate sessions for parents to play alongside their children 7-12 years. Please make sure you book the correct session.

If I am doing a kids event, how scary is it?

I like to think we are at a level that is intense but not too scary. If you can handle the scary bits of Doctor Who or Harry Potter, you should be ok. If you are bringing children aged between 7-12 years, please think about if your child will enjoy scary creatures and situations. Please contact me if you have any questions.

How involved do we get?

As much as you want to. We do insist that you dress in costume, have a character, background and stay “in character” during the game.
All through the show, you are all encouraged to work as a team, share information, come up with ideas and volunteer to go through the portal if they want to. Basically, if you don’t want to get involved, you don’t have to but you get more, the more you put in.

Is it good if I have a disability?

It’s wonderful! We have many people who have disabilities. You are not limited by movement, as the game is imagination and storytelling
